Old Comic

Trevor : March 20, 2011 10:44 pm : Bits and Blogs, Comics, Drawinz, illustration

A long, long time ago I drew my first comics. These aren’t my first comics, I’m not showing those, but pretty early on I started a series about a kid who blasts into space in a home made rocket and discovers a world of fluffy blue aliens. I was inspired by Asterix and Titntin and I had a lot of fun doing them.

I haven’t done comics for a while. I have been too busy trying to earn a crust. But it is time to start having fun with my art again. It is time to go back to Zog.

Here are a few scans from my childhood and a more recent sketch.

Looking at other illustrators work is always inspiring. It makes me want to be an artist.

Great Artwork if You Like Comics

Trevor : March 17, 2011 8:18 pm : Bits and Blogs, Comics, illustration
One of the comics I am following is a great example of the art online. Check out Wormworld. It is well worth a visit.
The artist has also created a few videos about his process.
